Symbolism
This painting is a window into the harmonious order of the elements. With the serpent biting its own tail, it represents the eternal cycles of life, death, and regeneration, and around it the diamond of clear luminous consciousness. The balance of the four fixed signs and their elements (Air, Water, Fire, and Earth) is found within the Zodiacal wheel, shaped within the sacred geometry of the Vesica Piscis. At the center lies the rosy cross of the Western Esoteric Traditions, which is a focal point for the merging of heaven and earth, or the male and female. The above and below are reflected in each other, as the six-rayed star and pentagram representing the macrocosm and microcosm.
